When it comes to Getting Known Being Seen a blog is a great place to start to make it easy for your clients to find you. A blog is an awesome tool to showcase your expertise and highlight your message. The value in a blog is being able to share the content on Facebook, Twitter, and email to your database. Rinse and repeat – as they say simple.

But what if you don’t have time to update your blog with new content every day? What happens with sharing to your clients? What happens to making it easy for your clients to find you? How do you cope with content overwhelm?

The answer is to look outside the box – look for ways to promote your old content to get repeat traffic from old posts.

Sharing Previous Blogs

There are billions of people online –the chances are your post will be seen by mostly

new people the second time around.

If it has been awhile since you first shared that particular blog and it was one that had a great response – share it again.

But better yet, why not look for new places to share it? Other social networks, forums or groups?

A website packed with old blog content gives you plenty of opportunities to share and leverage.

Update Your Past Blogs

Want to get even more use out of your old posts? Then consider updating them from time to time. This way you have a legitimate reason to post them in the same place you’ve had success before and Google will also see the content a

s being relevant and up-to-date. This is a big help for your SEO!

Change the title, add some new stories and/or examples, update statistics.

Repurpose Your Other Content –

Don’t reinvent the wheel. You don’t have to create new content every time you blog. Look at the content you already have. Do you have articles you have written, videos you can transcribe, a podcast you can transcribe, a workshop that you can pull a blog from?

You will be surprised how much content you already have that you can repurpose into a blog post. If you have a book you will have many blog posts. Each chapter could be turned into one or more blogs.

So don’t let the concept of sourcing content stop you from posting to your blog. Look outside the box – what blog’s can you re-share, what blogs can you update, what content can you repurpose to become a blog post.

Have fun and challenge yourself to blog regularly.
